The cliffs of Cape Aya abruptly cut off to the sea, sometimes forming grandiose landslips - inaccessible stone chaos. In the water the rocks are habitable by numerous algae and mollusk filterers, so that the water is unusually clear and transparent. Mountain slopes are covered with unique sub-mediterranean pine-juniper-strawberry woodlands.
